Women’s Health Leadership TRUST honored Project Lolo Founder and President with Award Recognizing Women Demonstrating Courage and Transforming the Future of the Health Care Industry
Leslie Pitt, Founder and President of Love Ourselves, Love Others and Project Lolo, was selected as a recipient of the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST 2018 Courageous Women in Health Care Award. The award was presented to Ms. Pitt Schneider at the TRUST Forum at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. The Women’s Health Leadership TRUST, located in St. Paul, MN, supports women leaders in health care. Its membership represents a broad spectrum of health care sectors and includes over 500 members. Since its inception in 1979, it has played a pivotal role in its commitment to advancing women in health care professions, influencing policy and contributing to health care in our communities.
Project Lolo is a global, non-profit organization headquartered in Minnesota, dedicated to helping provide access to orthopedic medical care and orthopedic devices, such as prosthetic limbs or wheelchairs to children. Leslie Pitt Schneider founded Project Lolo in 2017 under the assertion that no child should ever be denied their right to life, healthcare, education or dignity because of their differing orthopedic abilities.
